I Am Inviting You All To See My Pond-Now That It Is Clean:-))

I thought I would share some pics of my backyard pond with everyone. It took me an entire day to clean it-OMG it smelled like a sewer! I did not have a chance to clean it last Fall because we had an early freeze, so it was filled with rotting leaves and pine needles. On the plus side: I used the water (I considered it compost tea by the looks of it) to water my plants in the backyard.

Here are some pics from before when I started cleaning it.
Empty and ready to scrub:-(
Yuck!
Covered in slime!
Sarting to refill:-)
Glad that is done!
I feel much better now that it is up and running, even though my poor fish did not make it through the winter. Neither did my Hardy Water Lily. . It was so cold it froze solid for the first time since I built it. I need to go pick up some fish this week to keep the mosquito population down and maybe while I am out I will see if there are any pond heaters on sale. I don't want to have to worry about the fish freezing next winter!
