Gutter downspouts: contrast or blend

Peace Painting Co., Inc.
by Peace Painting Co., Inc.
Downspouts look nice when you don't see them. They are utilitarian and should be the color of the surrounding area, not breaking up the architectural lines of the house.
Downspouts (and garage doors) looks better when they blend in with the wall.
Pick a place on the downspout elbow to match the sight line of the siding.
When the downspouts don't blend in, they chop up the house.

My pleasure, Beverly. Ask the gutter folks if they have a pre-painted one that is close. They can mix and match to make them blend to the background. Best, Charles.

The guttering work for that home looks somewhat alike to the homes around my neighborhood. I myself am trying to find ways to redo my gutters because the previous homeowners missed a few spots to fix. Those spots are basically the gaps in the middle of the gutters.
