Dining Table With DIY Distressed Paint Finish

An antique, distressed paint finish is all the rage these days. A quick walk around any home decor store will prove this! However, the prices associated with a large piece of distressed furniture can be rather steep. Did you know that you can achieve the same distressed look yourself? See how I did it below!
I started by sanding the original finish off the table. This table was from IKEA. Don't you love a good IKEA makeover?!
I didn't want to move my heavy dining table, so I simply placed some protective papers under each leg. Problem solved!
I love the Dusty Miller color I chose!
I created this beautiful distressed finish using a soft black wax! It was so simple to achieve this stunning finish!
