By gaining confidence in blending paint, we are able to create depth similar to waxes and glazes without having to buy the extra product and add the extra layers of products-risking an extra opportunity to make a mistake or lengthen the process THAT much more! We just have to learn the right techniques to pull it off!

There you can also see there what local retailers may be in your area!

Prep is always a great idea! The better you prep the more confidence you can have in your finished product!

Here you can see what I call my "crumb coat",.. just enough to begin adding the color I want to move towards and give some coverage with BITE! The next layer will cling to it nicely...

Here we are able to see how the right products and techniques can give you gorgeous results and allow you to spend less!

By layering the paint, you get extra depth and dimension,.. That beautiful sheen produced by spraying Wise Owl Varnish,.. its easier than you think! I even have a video of it on the blog and show you the SUPER affordable model I use. :-)

Layering adds so much more dimension to your colors,.. providing more possibilities...

Distressing and then washing over the distressed areas also adds extra depth,.. Using a paint with such a high level of pigmentation truly helps this process.. the clay based Wise Owl chalk synthesis paint is great for these effects..
