Pedestal Table With Weathered Finish

Time for another themed Furniture Refresh and this month's theme was WEATHERED... RefreshWeathered
Enter this pedestal table I had painted white and had left unfinished.
I painted the table in a medium grey chalk paint called "Waverly" which is available at Walmart and a few other stores. It's a little more cost effective. Then I added some white of the same paint into the container with the grey and mixed only slightly. Then using a dry brushing technique I applied the lighter paint in one direction. Next I applied Valspar antiquing glaze to the top.
It needed a little more contrast and when I think of weathered wood, it seems to have a silvery sheen to it, so I used some silver craft paint mixed with glaze and added some uneven lines in the same direction that was already established.
I finished it off with some "Waverly" Matte Varnish for protection. I love how it highlights everything that sits on top of it. It's a very simple finish to achieve.
Enjoyed the project?
