Are you afraid to tackle a large project like a dining room set? Come read some tips from Cait from Little City Farmhouse who refurbished this dining table and chairs with Vanilla Frosting and Cobblestone!
Hello!

Some people are overwhelmed with taking on a big project like a dining room set, but I promise you that you can do it! My sister recently renovated their old house, and one of the must have things on her list was a pretty dining room space. She purchased a table and chair set from a local buy and sell site for me to refinish for her. It started out like this:
The first step was washing and lightly sanding. Then I painted the chairs and the table top in two coats of Cobblestone. It’s a beautiful warm earthly grey and one of my favourites! She wanted some contrast between all the grey, so we painted the table legs in Vanilla Frosting to coordinate with the fabric on the chair seats.
I gave the chairs and the table legs a coat of clear wax to seal them. However, wax isn’t the best way to protect high traffic pieces like table tops. Tough Coat is my favourite finish for pieces that get a lot of use – it dries super hard, total clear, and is scratch resistant – a total win all around!
So if you’re nervous about taking on a big project like this, don’t be! Paint is the perfect way to get exactly the look you want in your space!
