Hi friends I procrastinated this project for so long thinking it would be so hard to do a DIY stair runner but it ended up being so quick and easy everyone can do it.

Step on clean stairs add double sided carpet tape

The first thing you wanna do is give your stairs a good wipe down with any all purpose cleaner then you’re going to use your carpet tape and place them in strips along the tread of your stairs

Carpet tape

This double sided carpet tape can be purchased at any hardware store and is super easy to work with you just wanted to put one strip on the top of your stairs and one strip on your riser

Line up runner

Do you want to start at the top of your stairs with your runner and just keep pulling and pressing along the carpet to sleep strips all the way down

Staple the risers

Give a quick staple underneath on both sides of your runner all the way down underneath the risers

Ta da!

That’s absolutely all you need to do a little carpet tape and a stapler and you can have a runner on your stairs that looks professionally installed

Where did you get the runner? I would like to purchase that exact one. My staircase has 13 steps. How long does it have to be? God bless you. Beautiful job!!!

Did you have to use more than one runner to do the entire stairway?
