Ordinary Oak Table Turned Into a Kalidescope. #SPiTchallenge
by

(IC: homeowner)
Took a $20 oak table and turned it into something cool using Unicorn Spit.
Sanded the top down to bare wood.
Then we applied Unicorn Spit in the pattern we chose here. Sprayed it with water and laid a piece of plastic over the top and then moved the paint around with our hands through the plastic. Then we removed the plastic and did a bit of finger painting .
We let the top dry and the finished it with 5 coats of glossy oil based poly. The base was painted with red chalk paint and two coats of lacquer.
Here's a glass vase I did with Unicorn Spit.
Enjoyed the project?

Have a question about this project?
how did you get the effect on the vase. It's so pretty. Did you paint a base color on it first. Do you have a step by step?
Thank you.
