IKEA Rast Hack Farmhouse Dresser

I participated in an IKEA Rast dresser hack challenge, and jumped at the opportunity to makeover the simple Rast to fit my rustic and modern farmhouse style. My idea was to paint the drawers to look like an old galvanized metal bucket and stain the shell in a warm walnut color.
Here's the before, an all wood, small dresser, perfect for a side table. I love the idea of a dresser for a side table, that storage just can't be beat.

The drawers received a base coat of glossy paint, Trim Door and Furniture paint from Pittsburgh paint, an oil based paint that covered really well and achieved the glossy affect I wanted.
Click over to my blog, Reinvented, to see how I achieved the mottled metallic look of galvanized buckets.

Kimm at Reinvented and RoadKill Rescue on Jan 09, 2016Thank you so much Rhonda! It was a fun project, and I'm please with how it turned out! My next project is to make another and attach them to make a buffet for my dining room. :)
