Handmade Gift Idea: DIY Printed Tea Towels

Have you ever tried silk-screening? It's easier than expected and a fun way to add a design of your choice to something ordinary like white tea towels.
For the winter season, I decided to go with a snowflake pattern.
I sewed my own tea towels, but you can use store-bought. Just make sure they're washed and dried ahead of time.
You can find all sorts of silk screening stencils at the craft store, along with fabric paint (or fabric paint medium) in a variety of colors.
I used painter's tape to make sure the screens didn't shift around when I applied the paint.

Chandra Parker Doucette on Nov 02, 2016Does anyone know an inexpensive source online to buy plain tea towels. I'd like to try this but can't seem to find them in my area, anymore.
