DIY American Girl Cafe & Bakery (Inside a Cabinet)

Not only is it fun to create a DIY cafe for American Girl dolls, but if you create it inside an existing cabinet, it doesn't take up extra room in your home!
Within a few hours, my daughters and I transformed it into a cafe/bakery for their dolls.
When I realized that this empty cabinet was the perfect height for an American Girl doll, I got an idea!
We already had a table and chair set. I used a dishtowel for the carpet, and created a centerpiece with a doll-sized pitcher and some tiny flowers from the craft store.
We used a clear acrylic jewelry box (turned backwards) as a bakery counter.
We attached a chalkboard to the wall, and wrote out the menu in pink chalk.
To add ambience, we created a cafe sign with small wooden letters, added battery-powered twinkle lights, and framed some photos of sweet treats (torn out of a magazine) in mini frames. To learn more about the materials we used, you can view the rest of this post at http://www.goodinthesimple.com/diy-american-girl-bakery-grace/
