American Girl Doll Wardrobe

This small kitchen island was given to me by a relative. I knew it would come in handy for something sooner or later.
Inspiration struck when I realized my granddaughter needed a place to store all her American Girl doll clothes. A wardrobe would be perfect, but the AG ones are too expensive! I failed to take pics of the process but basically we cut off the towel racks on each end & removed the legs & wheels. We added little bun feet to raise it off the floor. Then we sanded the butcher block & gave the whole thing a new paint job.
I purchased 'crystal' knobs at Lowe's since our girl loves BLING!
Added this pretty mirror I found at Hobby Lobby at half price. Now the dolls have a place to primp. On the other side we added hooks for hanging necklaces & scarves
Found some beautiful fabric at Walmart to use as shelf liner. The drawers hold shoes & accessories
A dowel rod works perfectly to hang their clothes. Hubby just screwed it in from the outside, then filled in the holes before I painted. We scored some big hugs from the Granddaughter for making this. She LOVES it!
