I think at one time most of us have owned one of these out dated Wooden Wine Racks. I was going to get rid of mine and I thought I have used The Most Amazing Product that has hit the market Unicorn SPiT Gel Stain on several of my projects. But I have normally sanded them down to bare wood. I really didn't want to waste my time doing that.
So I took the old faithful Denatured Alcohol and scrubbed it good. It got off all the accumulated grime from years of abuse. But it still had the original stain left on it. I wasn't about to strip it down.
I just went for it. Using my fingers I just started applying The Unicorn SPiT. There is no mistakes when your using it. Because if you don't like it just wash it off...Amazing!!!!!! Plus anything that fills the air with the smell of Jasmine is just wonderful....
Just wanted to through this tip in. When your using Unicorn SPiT you need lint free rags and since I have already used up my husband old t-shirts I bought these. Works great 4 pounds of cut up t-shirts
The colors I used where Unicorn SPiT Molly Red Pepper, Phoenix Fire and Midnight's Blackness. I played around with them until I liked what I was seeing. And it went over the existing stain great....
Waited until it was dry, which Unicorn SPiT dries so fast. Then gave it 2 coats of Clear Gloss spray. And now I have an updated recycled pretty cool looking Wine Rack
