DIY Vertical Planter

2 Materials
I wanted a place on my patio where I could grow a small herb garden, so I drew up some plans, went shopping at my local Home Depot and my husband helped me build this cute vertical planter. It's the perfect spot to grow herbs or flowers and it only takes up one square foot!
The main part of the planter is built from cedar fence pickets. They are reinforced with 1x2 wood pieces screwed in to the back for extra stability.
My favorite part is the colorful terra cotta pots with handwritten labels so I remember which herb is which.
This was an easy Saturday project that only took a few hours to build. Get the free supply list, measurements and step-by-step instructions so you can make one too!
Suggested materials:
  • Cedar fence pickets
  • Terra cotta pots
