What to do when your wallet won't allow you to buy new bathroom furniture!
Looks expensive, right?!? Well, it wasn't! I have been wanting new cabinets for the bahroom for a long time, but my budget wouldn't allow me that treat, so I had to come up with a solution to this old IKEA cabinet myself...
I took off the doors, and washed them and sanded them a bit:
And even if my dog Dennis didn't help much, it was nice to have some company, he, he...
I then sprayed the door frames with a silver chrome, I didn't need to spray the middle, since I was going to cover it with marble contact paper anyway:
The handles were severly worn:
...so I gave them a good spray as well:
And when it was all dry overnight, I cut the contact paper to fit the door, and used my baking tool to get all the air bubbles out:
I even took the opportunity to clean out the shelves, and organize them a bit:
I found out that I could fit more boxes in by tilting them to the side, and since they all have lids anyway, it doesn't matter:
And this is the final result!!!! As you can see, I also added contact paper round the legs, and what you CAN'T see, is that I also covered it halfway on the left side(the right side is impossible to see anyway because of the wall, and I have a dresser on the left that covers most of that side(and yes; I am definitely doing the dresser too!!! But not today...)
On top of my sink you can see the shells I made to hold my jewelry, check out my post on those as well!
