Up-cycle Yellow Bench Made From a Headboard

I have been wanting to do this project for a while now and mothers day was approaching so I thought I would give it a whirl. Minimal supplies are needed for this project. Its super easy, fun and turns out to be a great gift. The instructions on here are shortened please visit my blog for more info.

To start I used a metal double size headboard from when I was I kid for the back of the bench.
I then found some banister spindles for the legs and cut them to the required height.
Then I built the frame of the bench seat and attached the five legs in the locations shown with the green arrows.
I then place three deck boards on top of the seat frame and then attached the bed frame to the wood using u bolts. Next I painted the wood yellow using chalk paint and added three layers of clear coat for outdoor use to the painted wood.
Then I painted the metal frame with yellow chalk paint to match the wood.
