Not only is my grandmother's dough bowl a wonderful piece of family history filled with warm memories, it has also become the centerpiece for my Thanksgiving and fall decor! I am sharing some ways I have decorated it for fall over the last few years here: http://confessionsofaplateaddict.blogspot.com/2013/11/thankful-at-homepottery-barn-inspired.html

Thank you for sharing your Rustic and Elegant. I have always loved the combination and try to use it when I can. There is nothing more beautiful to me than silver and rustic wood accents! What could be more elegant than that? The best of two worlds!!

Oh my, this really stirs my imagination! I have several antique kitchen utensils (can opener, melon baller, pastry thingy) to use in my own arrangement. Oh yeah, the mind is churning.
