Funky Hand Painted Bench

Kendall K.
by Kendall K.
Someone was going to throw out this bench just because the top was broken! Hubby fixed it with some wood glue and u can't even tell! Now to funkerize it!
I started off by priming the entire bench, then painted each section a different colour.
I printed off some patterns I liked and traced them on with either black or white carbon paper.
For super detailed patterns like on the table top, I used paint pens.
For other patterns I used a fine tip bottle and/ or a brush. I got to be really creative with these techniques!
After I was done, I sealed it with several light coats of exterior varnish because I knew it was going to be on the porch.
I blinged it up with some added embellishments. It's quite the conversation piece!
Here it is in its home!

THIS is how everyone who funks out a piece of furniture hopes theirs will turn out! You took your time and really embellished every surface, it wasn't a rush job, so it all works together. I hope you enjoy it for years to come!
