UPDATE: I HAD NO IDEA HOW POPULAR THIS POST WOULD BECOME AND HAVE HAD SEVERAL QUESTIONS. I POSTED AN UPDATE ON MY BLOG: http://sanderandprayer.blogspot.com/2014/01/laundry-room-reveal-its-finally-finished.html I tore out 70's paneling and made a wall from old fence panels. We also tore out two ugly windows that were nailed shut, a bi-fold door going into the kitchen and replaced a french door with a solid wood vintage door. For more pictures and information about this reno please visit my blog! http://sanderandprayer.blogspot.com/2014/01/laundry-room-reveal-its-finally-finished.html

Kim Truehart on Feb 18, 2014my over 200 yr old farmhouse also has lime green paneling on the living room walls...covering what i believe to be horse hair plaster that's in extremely rough shape. My kitchen was also lime green paneling,i had to paint it before we moved in,just too much lime green for me to live with. Now it's what i call big bird electric yellow, with a soft butter yellow color over the top,...I used it & a sea sponge to try & break up the knock your eyes out of their sockets bright yellow...and it worked wonderfully.
