I wanted an industrial style console table for our new foyer, but I was not impressed with the hefty price tags they came with. After getting some inspiration online I decided I could make one myself. I used left over butcher block from our kitchen remodel for the table top and shelves and conduit piping for the legs. To really up the industrial look I used a two tone stain treatment on the wood and metal to add depth and give the illusion of age. Simply Swider- Stephanie on Mar 16, 2014Thanks @Gwen ! We used compression couplings to hold the weight of the self. The couplings are held in placing with set screws drilled in from the sides.
