Bedroom Makeover - Blank Slate to Hipster Chic!

One of the birthday gifts I gave our 7 year old daughter this year was a complete makeover of the smallest bedroom in our house. It was time for her to move out of her older sister's bedroom and into her own room. My oldest was very happy about that! :)

Here's the blank slate of the 9 feet by 9 feet bedroom before I started this makeover:
The room had 1 window in the center of the room and 1 small closet on the right, by the entrance door. To give you a better sense of this tiny space, here's a collage of all 4 walls in this room:
Finding the perfect shade of gray was a challenge. With so many options, I ended up getting a number of paint samples. That was a wise decision because paint usually looks different once dried. Additionally, the lighting in the room affects how the paint color looks.
For the walls, I chose 1 lighter shade of gray on 1 accent wall and a darker shade of gray on the rest of the 3 walls in bedroom.

Dark Gray Paint: Olympic One’s Flagstone (OL154)

I love how my daughter's new twin bed looks against the gray walls.
I went with the Boho (Hipster) and Chic themes for this bedroom makeover. The decor around her bed captures both themes, between the wall hanging and the glam accessories.

MORE photos from this makeover can be found HERE . See how I organized her toys!
When you open the door, this is the view that you see. My 7 year old was very happy with her big girl bedroom. It'll be some time before we need to update this space :).

Beautiful makeover. Looks bigger than a 9X9 room. Your older daughter was happy to get her own room. Your 7 year old probably was ecstatic to get her own. Bet they still miss being together, a "little".

Thanks so much, William! Ha...let's just say they are both thrilled to have their own spaces now. They do miss sharing a room sometimes...which leads to sleepovers in each other's rooms once in a while. LOL!
