Ask anyone who knows me and they will tell you that I decorate pretty much for every holiday. I saw a beautiful artificial floral wreath at AC Moore. While it was on sale, I thought I could make one myself for less. Not sure if I did or not.....but I love the way it turned out!icon
Here is the wreath I saw. While it was 50% off, I still wanted to do my own!
While they didn't have the same exact flowers, I found and bought two bunches of these flowers. I cut each the flowers off at the bottom of the stem. I used a green wire wreath from the Dollar Tree. The flowers were 50% off.
I wrapped each stem, with foral wire put them in 'red, white and blue' order pattern and attached them to the wire holder. Sorry don't have a pic of them laid out prior to attaching them, but I am sure you get the idea!
I had a few sprigs of the Americana red, white and blue balls, also from AC Moore. I attached them throughout. I also had a bunch of wooden stars laying around that had a long wire on them, that used to be displayed in a vase.
I cut the original wire off of them and then attached a new wire on one side. I wrapped it around so it wouldn't fall out. Each side has a crystal bead on it.
I then painted each of the stars with white chalk paint that I purchased at AC Moore for another project. I did two coats on each side, carefully trying not to paint the beadicon
Then I attached them throughout the wreath. When I was done attaching everything, I shook the wreath to make sure nothing fell off. This was going to be on my front porch with taking a beating from all of the summer weather elements.
And here is how it turned out.....I had just finished painting my front porch white rocking chair with a matte black spray paint (that I purchased at Home Depot). I attached the wreath to the back of the chair with twine.
I added a pillow that I purchased at Big Lots last year. And here you have iticon . I hope you like it!
Another Big Thanks to all the Veterans and those that continue to serve and protect us! God Bless America!!
