A CRAFTED VINTAGE FAUX COTTAGE SCREEN DOOR

I have been scanning the internet for a vintage screen door, I love the look of them propped in a room and adorned with décor. They are a bit pricey so seeing that I just got a new jig saw I decided to make my own faux vintage screen door. I used scrap wood and an old Adirondack chair that had broken for the wood. I did a stencil/ spackling treatment and gave it a chippy old time paint job. This is a great addition to my lake house room. I can almost hear it squeaking such as the one from my grandparents lake side cottage as we opened and closed at least 50 times a day.
First measuring and cutting then nailing together, then screening, painting and adding hardware.
The stencil /spackling process added some old charm.
A burlap wreath and some red , white and blue for the holiday!
Propped in the corner adds some whimsey
