Thrift Store Suitcase Makeover
Don't pass up those ugly thrift store suitcases... Instead, turn it into a custom piece of luggage that you'll never leave behind. I knew I wanted this suitcase to be bright, colorful and kind of funky because it's something I want to be able to display when it's not being used.
This thing is ugly, isn't it? This suitcase is in great condition aside from how unattractive it is.
I cleaned off the suitcase and then used a candy pink spray paint on it.
When the spray paint was dry, I used Mod Podge to add some decoupage paper to the straps.
Add a layer of Mod Podge over the decoupage paper also for more protection.
I used felt, string, yarn and a hot glue gun to make patches for the suitcase.
Use the hot glue gun to adhere the stickers to the suitcase and you are all set.
The finished suitcase is something you will be proud to show off! I love how this turned out. This would be a great gift also and you could make patches of your favorite memories together. There are so many things you could do with this project!
