DIY Painted IKEA Curtains

I had very boring pair of plain white IKEA curtains hanging in our dining room. I love white but with all of the white board and batten the room definitely needed a little something.
Here's the finished curtains! Be sure to hop on over to the blog to see the full pair all finished up! You can also see my DIY bar cart there :-)
I decided to paint them using a sample pot of paint and some metallic acrylic paint from the craft store.
I started taping off a pattern but I didn't want it to be too perfect. I just kinda went with it letting things be, not getting too fussy with it.
After I had it all taped off I used a cheapo $1 paint brush to make some large strokes on my pattern. I didn't want it completely filled in.
Here's the pattern all painted off and drying on one panel. see, not perfect but playful :-)
