Hi, I'm Amber Oliver! I hope if you enjoy this project you'll also stop by my blog!

Patina is the a green or brown film on the surface of bronze or similar metals, produced by oxidation over a long period. of time.

Don't want to wait? I'll show you how to get the look in one afternoon!

I started with a metal candle holder from the thrift store.

To get the effect, I'm using Modern Master's Metal effects paint kit.

The kit includes a primer, oxidizing bronze paint, and a spray on blue patina aging solution.

First place something to protect your work surface.

Next add your first coat of primer. Allow to dry for 1/2 hour and then add a 2nd coat.

After the 2nd coat has dried for 2 hours, paint the primed surface with 1 coat of brozne paint.

Allow the paint to dry for 30 minutes.
