How to keep a flower bouquet fresh. I love getting flowers, but I hate it when they die too soon. I want them to last. Here's how to prolong their life.
Gently unwrap them. Easy does it.
Fill your vase with the flower food provided. Use at least 4 cups of ROOM TEMPERATURE water. Mix well.
Cut stems diagonally under running water. Cut at least one inch from the bottom. The diagonal cut ensures it gets enough water.
Remove leaves below the water line. This keeps the water fresher.
Position the vase away from direct sunlight, cold breezes, or heat sources. It may take about 24 hours for your flowers to fully hydrate and open. Add fresh water daily, or every other day. Change out the water on Day 5 or if it becomes cloudy or murky. Remove older petals as needed to keep it looking beautiful!

Liliana Wells on Aug 20, 2014I have used sugar or aspirin when the flower food was not included with the bouquet. When my flowers last two weeks, I am happy.
