How To Make a Seashell Bookends
If you love beach projects made from seashell. I have an easy one you can do with scraps of wood and seashells.
4 Pieces of Wood/Seashells/Stencil/Turquoise Paint/Glue/Liquid Nails/White Paint/Sponge
For this projects you will need two kinds of glue. One for putting the two pieces of wood together and another glue for the seashells.
You will need 4 6 by 6 inches square wood. Paint the wood with a good white primer. Once that dries paint over it with the turquoise paint.
Stencil the 2 tops of the wood with a coral stencil. Use white paint to go over the stencil. Carefully apply the paint so it does not bleed.
For the bottom part of the bookends, this is where you apply the seashells using E6000 glue. Apply a little on each seashell and place it on the wood in bunches, close to each other. Let dry overnight. Tip: Leave a space of 2 inches from the top so you have room to glue the two pieces together.
Once everything is dried. Glue the tops and bottoms together with liquid nails. The top is the stencil part and the seashell is the bottom.
Let dry overnight. You can place a bunch of books in front and back of the bookends to give it support.
I hope this brings inspiration of the beach to your home.
