Dollar Tree Sign Upscale

I find many fun items at the Dollar Store and there are lots of things you can do to change them up to make them look more up scale. This project is no different. I found a cute metal sign which I then gave a whole new look to with things I already had on hand.

I grabbed some ribbon out of my stash, some wooden beads, a pair of scissors and some twine.

This is the cute $1 sign I purchased at the Dollar Tree just the other day.

I took my assortment of ribbons and stuck them on top of each other with the largest in the back and the smallest in the front. In the center I tied a piece of twine around it long enough to tie through the holes on my metal sign.

I used a needle to thread some red and natural colored beads on to the twine.

Just like this.

Once I filled in all the beads I took the twine and tied in back through the hole on the other side of the sign.

Just like this. I did leave a little extra space because I wanted to attach a bow to that side.

I then used the twine from the center of my bow, and tied it through the hole.

This is a really simple upscale! Something easy that you could even have your children do.

There are several things you could use it for - hanging on the door or on the door knob, added to some greenery or even placed it in one of your farmhouse trays.

Thanks for taking a look!
