Hanging Succulent Palette Wall
I’m a succa for succulents! It all started years ago after my mom gifted me some plants. She knew I had no green thumb and told me that succulents were very easy to grow and so my obsession with succulents began. I decided to make this succulent wall by using a few simple items because I needed something under my kitchen window facing my outdoor patio. This was a very simple project.
I first collected all the items that I’d need, a palette, small pots (I purchased these small ones from ikea and drilled drainage holes on the bottom), hooks for hanging the pots, soil, drill, and succulents (my yard is full of them so I didn’t need to buy any). I also transplanted some succulents I had in small terra-cotta pots that needed larger planters.
I drilled holes on top of the pots, large enough for the hooks to fit in then inserted the hooks into the pots. The pots I purchased are made of aluminum and so I had to be careful when I drilled the holes because they bent easily. After doing a couple of them, I had a much easier time.
I then filled the planters with soil and planted the succulents. Easy Peasy!
I then hung the planters over the pallet boards. I decided to use 4 to 5 per row.
Final step was just arranging them exactly how I wanted.
The completed pallet. I think that I may make 2 more so they go along the width of my window but we really like how it turned out. I told ya it be easy 😊 Happy DIYing and if you want to see more of what I do, please come visit me on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/mycreativekneads/
