What I used for this project is
Wood I used a 1 by 3 for this look (but you could use different sizes if you want)
Chop saw
Painters tape
sander (orbital is my favorite)
stain
Wood glue
rags
I have also made it easier and added most of the items to amazon for an easy shopping.

Measure
I measure all my boards to be 7 inches long.
Adjust your blade
I adjusted my blade to a 30’ angle
Cut
Measure
(always double measure 😉)
you can see here that I measure my board, mark it with a pencil and then once I cut it I flip it over and mark my next board with the one I have cut.
Assemble
Once you have all 6 of your boards cut to the same length at the angle of 30’
You will want to lay them all all flat with the long side up.
I then attached painters tape to the back side of the wood.
I used two strips of 1 inch
Wood glue
Now that you have your tape on, you can fold over one board at a time and add wood glue to the cut angle and then fold.
Nail (not necessary)
For an added step you can use a nail gun to add extra support, but honestly this isn’t needed unless you plan on placing heavy items on these.
Can you see it all coming together?
Here you can see a time lapse video of exactly what I did to assemble the shelf.
Once the shelf was dry I used briar smoke stain to finish the design and then attached a hook to the back to hang it to the wall.
And there you have it, aren’t they so beautiful?!?

I’ve been wanting to make shelving to hold my essential oil’s and this will be perfect!!! I’ll add dividers at different angles to utilize space inside the hexagon. This is wonderful. Thank you!!!
