How can I find useful and quality flooring?
Hello ,
there are areas in my house that I want to change. I do not like the color of the parquets. I want it to be in the color of a pine and be late to wear out. Is there a brand or product you can recommend? 192168101.com

Hi Kaya, if the parquet is solid wood you can sand it down and stain it any wood color you would like! Here's a step by step youtube video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=co2ac-Q-0F4

Hello Kaya,
Maybe look to use Vinyl wood look strips or flooring. Best wishes.
Parquet flooring can be sanded and re-stained. Choose a lighter color and seal it well with polyurethane. It should last a long time.
Oh my gosh, Parquet flooring is the best, ours has held up for years and years. It was installed by the previous owner and love it, in fact it was a selling point on this house. You can sand and apply the stain you prefer to bring out the gorgeous grain. OUrs has a slight pine look about it. MinWax might work for you.
I purchased a house with engineered dark wood floors. My two dogs are tearing it up from their claws. Do NOT recommend it.
We had conventional red oak hardwood installed 5 years ago and they are not holding up with our 70# dog. Your budget and need might help determine your options.

Hi! I have vinyl tile that looks like wood, and it has been very easy to care for and holds up well. If you want to update the floors you have, they could be painted, whitewashed, or refinished. Lots of options.
Good luck!
Keep in mind that if you want to replace the parquet flooring with another type of flooring, it, and all the glue that is adhering it to the subfloor will need to be removed first. The cost of this labour will be expensive.
Before you get your heart set on another type of flooring, I would suggest that you get a couple of estimates on what the cost would be to remove the parquet flooring and prepare the surface of the floor to accommodate the installation of the new flooring.
Perhaps when you see the potential bill, you will not mind the color of the parquet as much.
Pine is a soft wood as is parquet so they are not for high wear and tear. Oak is a much better option. We did red oak that was not finished. After it was put down, we sealed with flooring polyurethane and no stain. I have been very pleased with the way they turned out. Mine are from 1999 and still look fantastic with 2 coats of poly. They are in the shade you are talking about the because they aren't stained, there is quite a bit of wood grain and variation that shows in them.
Go to a warehouse surplus store to check out the flooring. Floor and Decor has a huge store with many options. I like the small flooring stores too, but they can be expensive. Lowes and Home Depot offer flooring options.
If you have a Habitat for Humanity near, they get surplus as well and have great prices
Luxury vinyl flooring comes in so many styles and it is durable, easy to clean and you can find it in styles that look like wood, tile, planks, hand scraped wood (my fav and we used it in one of our spare bedrooms) - you get the wood look without the price- it is easy to put down and good for pets, kids, etc. you can find it at any flooring store, online or home depot type stores
Hi Kaya, maybe you could just paint it, hope this video helps you,
