Hi Tina, looks like this how to video will give you all the information you need! What a fun gift to do for your aunt! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccMISmuO99I
I think that would be an amazing tree! The results would depend on the colors you are using. Richer, darker colors will work better unless it's a white tree, then you can do anything you want. Artificial trees are plastic so get a spray paint that is formulated for plastic. I have had great results with Krylon, Lowe's store brand, and RustOleum.
Yes, you can. Get spray paint in the colors you want and use that.
Spray paint should work just fine on your tree. I agree with Kathy, Krylon is a good quality spray paint.
Here is info on how to paint the tree but the lights would have to be covered or removed to do this-

Yes. Rustoleum 2X spray paint. You would need to cover the bulbs or use a piece of cardboard to block the paint from the bulbs as you spray
I would just use spray paint, several thin coats! This shows how: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nzo1M8vaK8
Rustoleum or Krylon would work well for this project, sounds like a nice one.
Hello yes. I have spray-painted faux green wreaths to give them a flocked appearance. Spray paints are now formulated to work on plastics. I would suggest taking masking tape and masking off all the lights if the tree has lights.

Artificial tress are made to be fire resistant so you'd need to find spray paint that doesn't contradict that. You might ask at the paint store.
I would first use a primer spray so the colors would come out true colors. Then I would get rustoleum in whatever colors you want to do. If you want to flock it. Use Homax wall texture It comes out great
Instead of spray painting the branches of the tree, how about using thick ribbon in the various team colors wound through the separate sections of the tree? This would be a much less messy alternative to painting, and would also enable the tree to be redecorated at some point in the future, if desired.
Hi Tina, this young lady used spray paint to color her tree -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHqVYN0solw and it actually came out really pretty
Hi Tina,
I shouldn't think there would be a problem, so long as it is not flamable!
Here is a good video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccMISmuO99I

Sure, why not.. Just be carful with lights after you paint
This is so fun! Spray paint for sure.Might need primer depending if it's a light color
Yes, absolutely. We would love to see a picture if you went ahead with the project.
