Bathroom Revamp
So we renovated our whole house 2 years ago when we bought it & the paint we got for the downstairs bathroom was meant to be a mint green but ended up a duck egg blue!!! I never liked it but it has taken 2 years to get around to finding the perfect navy - from Crown called ink blue!!!!
myself and my mam spent 3 days painting it!!!
let me know what you guys think!!
Here’s our bathroom before
Another before pic - it’s a strange shape bathroom but we can’t do anything about that!!!!
Crown Paint in Ink Blue - it took 4 coats & some parts need a 5th coat I think!!!
Cutting in!!!
First coat!!
First coat done!
after I had did the first coat (nearly to the ceiling May I add)
I decided to bring the white down onto the navy - 9 inches as our ceilings are very high & I felt it been all navy was a bit much!!!
yes I wish I had of decided that on day one before starting to paint!!!
but we’re here now and have to keep going!!!!
So I got my level & pencil
Got my tape
measured 9 inches down - marked it in a few spots
Got my level
as straight as I could get it & drew a line all across the wall!
i then got tape (my masking tape wasn’t great it had gotten damp in the shed) so I used normal tape!!!
and hoped for the best!!!
followed the line all across the wall with the tape
A view of the tape before the paint
get Your white paint & roll it!!!
let it dry & do a second coat
Coat number 2
Continue all the above steps all along every wall!!!
Using a small brush with the navy go along the line where the tape was!!!
Continue to go around the edges with your brush
At this stage I did a third coat of white to cover the excess navy!!!!
I used a roller once I had done all the cutting in!!!!
letting each coat dry in between
And after 3 coats of white & 4 coats of navy it’s done!!!!
I am loving how the ink blue turned out!
