$6 Thrift Store Coffee Table Makeover {French Typography}

I found this beat up coffee table at the thrift store awhile back for $6. Solid, heavy wood...for $6...how can you pass that up??? I can't and I didn't. It came home with me and I transformed it into something to be loved and enjoyed again!
Before ... nothing too special as it is..or was.
Fresh coat of General Finishes "Lamp Black" Milk Paint makes for a beautiful new finish.
Sanded top ready for stain...except I loved the look of the tiny bit of black still showing in the grain AND the bleached look of the top. I decided to create a whitewash with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in "Old White" for it instead. Then hand painted in the lettering to complete.
Enjoyed the project?
