Have you browsed through West Elm stores or catalog? A friend of mine had mentioned how see saw these Orbs there and couldn't justify to spend $29 on 1 orb. Being that she knows me she asked if I could recreate the look for her without breaking her budget.
Of course I accepted the challenge!
Of course I accepted the challenge!
So while I thought these West Elm Orbs were cute, they are kinda boring in color. I knew I needed to make them pop...so into the shop I went!
When I tell you this you aren't going to believe me, but....I'm going to tell ya anyway.
Enjoyed the project?

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
You are one clever woman! What hardware is used for the bottom piece?.... Thank you.
When you push in the thumb tacks, whet do you do with the pointy ends inside? Just fold them in with pliers? Doesn't that look unfinished?
If you used 2 sets of hoops in each, you would have 2 clasps in each globe. If you removed the 2nd clasp, how did you join the ends they came off?
