With the digital technology it's so easy to take a lot of photos and also so easy to store them in many devices; mobiles, memory cards, tablets, laptop. Fortunately, there are digital photo frames to load all our captures and allow them appear in our space. But, I really like and the other way, the old-fashioned one; to make a photo display.
Before months my mother gave me an old vintage frame that I renewed it and painted it white, but I didn't want to use it with the classic way by putting a painting, or a print in it and that's all. So, after a lot of searching I decided to transform it in a creative photo display frame and mood board. It turned out be a very easy and low cost DIY and I needed only few minutes to make it!!!
the few things I used:
The process it's so easy. On the backside of the frame, I struck small nails into different points. Then, I tied the wire from the one nail to the other in order to make many available lines. In the end, I placed photos from our travels and some tickets we collect, using small wooden clothes pins to hang them. To tell you the truth, it was so simple and the result so beautiful that I'm really thinking the next photo display for our bedroom as this one is hanged on my home office wall!!!
There are also many ways to do this photo display frame. One way is to put the wire in symmetrical rows, vertical or horizontal, and the photos will be placed vertically or horizontally. The other way is to create a complicated collage by fastening the wire not only in straight lines, but also diagonally. I think that if the frame is a bit old and heavy, this project is ideal for vintage interior. Instead of soft decorative wire, you can also use grid, chicken wire, iron mess, or just string.
