DIY Book Jackets

I love to use old books in my decor in many different ways and sometimes I want them to blend in instead of contrasting with what I am doing. So I have started covering my books in jackets that fit in with the decor of the moment.
This is a very simple project that requires very little in supplies - a book, a roll of paper of choice, a pair of scissors and some embellishments of choice. I used brown packaging paper bought at the dollar store.
A couple of easy cuts and a few easy folds and you have a new cover for your book.
You can leave your book jacket with just the paper or you can add some embellishments. On this one I added a ribbon with a quote imprinted on it and a black check ribbon.
On this one I used brown packaging paper and blue ribbon with brown polka dots. I change the paper and the embellishments to complement the decor of the moment. For more details please visit the URL below.
