Sunny Yellow Chalk-Painted Door

My front door was painted in a blah builder-grade flat white paint ever since my husband and I moved into our new home about 12 years ago. I finally got around to changing it! The paint I used was so easy to work with, making the paint job a really quick fix! Plus, the 8 oz. jar of paint I used costs less than $9, making my project a really inexpensive fix!
This is what my door looks like now.
I painted the door in Americana Decor's Chalky Finish in Whisper. The paint went on really quickly and dried quickly, too!
This is what the door looked like before I painted it -- pretty uninspiring!
Before I painted, I taped off all the door's hardware so I wouldn't get any paint where it didn't belong!
I love how the new door color adds style to my home's front door mud room area.
I added a vinyl "See You Later" decal to the door for some fun!
This is the view of the front door from my home's living room. I love how the bright and sunny front door adds happy color to the room!
