DIY REVEAL: Bold & Beautiful Master Bath Retreat

6 Weeks
Medium
The 6 week complete DIY renovation of our master bathroom took the room from total blank slate to modern spa-like luxury complete with heated floors, hex floor tiles, and a bold pop of colour.
The before: A complete blank canvas space
A floating vanity wall was created using 2 high-gloss grey wall mounted sink cabinets installed side by side topped with A DIY grey quartz tile countertop. His & hers above counter sinks & mirrors were centered between vertical sconces and wall mounted faucets finish things off for a modern, elegant look.
After: The floating vanity wall & shower
We continued the grey palette into the shower creating an ombre effect with dark and light grey subway tiles, topped with a white basket-weave tile, for a touch of added texture. We finished the shower with a rain head, hand shower & 4 body jets.

Opposite the vanity, we installed a sleek freestanding tub. The tri-colour hex floor tiles add to the fun, yet modern aesthetic, creating a 'splash' of white focal point surrounding the tub in the midst of a sea of grey.
After: Freestanding tub & DIY barn doors
To bring it all together, we built sliding barn closet doors painted in a bold fuschia, and used matching accessories throughout to create a stylish, modern master bath retreat.
