I love this Valentine DIY craft. These kitchen towels and pink dish soap are a perfect gift or a fun way to spruce up your kitchen.

Valentine DIY Dish Towels and Soap

I love crafts. Especially when they are easy and really inexpensive to make. These Valentine DIY dish towels cost less than $3.00 to make. Which makes this the perfect craft to keep or give as a gift!

Here is a peek at some of the towels I made. I made them from flour sacks and painted them with a roller.

My pink dish soap is another Valentine DIY you can add to your kitchen. It is so easy and looks so cute in any kitchen. (Of course, if you don’t want pink you can use a different color of dish soap.)

These dish towels are very easy to make. I used some vintage French paint rollers to make some of them.

And yet, this paint roller from Amazon turned out to be my favorite. I ended up using it in the towels shown in this post. The paint roller comes in additional designs. Be sure to check them out.

Don’t these towels look amazing? They are made from very inexpensive flour sacks which are typically a larger size.

Here is my simple dish soap hack. All you need is a glass bottle. I used this swing top bottle and some dish soap. I just happened to find some pink Dawn Gentle Clean dish soap!

Look how much better this looks! I love the glass bottle as a replacement.

What You Need to Make This Valentine DIY Craft

I think I own more acrylic than a craft store. Which is great because I NEVER have to buy it! I grabbed some pink paints from my craft storage room.

Next, I taped down some parchment paper and topped it with pink paint. Make sure the paint is flat and not glumpy (I don’t think that is that a word but you know what I mean) so the roller will only get paint on the raised design. You can use a paint brush to spread out the paint if you don’t have a brayer/roller.

Roll the paint roller in the paint and roll onto the flour sack. Paint in the same direction and press harder as you go. This helps to adhere the paint on the flour sack.

Let the towels dry and then iron with a hot iron to secure the acrylic paint. Once it is ironed, the paint should be permanent.
