I made this backdrop wall to enjoy taking photos in our backyard when we have friends and family over using the pool and hanging outside.

Good Vibes and Fun Photos

Read below for steps to making this easy grass photo wall for great party and celebration pics in your backyard, or anywhere.

Here's where we started

We had made this wood stand about 15 years ago to hide some outdoor things like a window well, then we moved it to hide the hose and even our air condition unit. I didn't know what to do with it, it was made well and sturdy and strong. So when I strolled upon some faux grasses, I thought about a grass photo wall.

I had to use two rolls for one side, but you can find faux grasses of different lengths, depending on what you need. I used a staple gun to secure it to the wood. At first, I could see the staples shining through, so I just started stapling then dried into the grass to hide them better.

Use a utility Knife to cut off the extra

You could also use a strong scissor to cut off the extra at the bottom.

Once it is all covered, you can decide on all kinds of styles. You could do all florals on ot for a pretty backdrop, or faux succulents. But, I thought it would be cool to have a neon sign. I got one that says "Good Vibes" off of Amazon. You do need to plug it in, so I used my battery power bank and hid it in the back. The cord for the neon sign was white, so I used a strap from an old cloth bag that was green and wrapped it around the cord so it would camouflage on the grass.

Use a nailer to attach

These held the grass for enough, and if you made any mistakes, like it was crooked, the nails came out really easy with a screwdriver.

I used a scissor because it did a better job

Final look before neon sign

The neon sign has two holes for hanging , so I nailed it to the grass wall.

Nails for neon Sign

This neon sign came with two holes for nails, which are plenty enough to hold the sign.

I did add a few faux florals around the sign too, just make it more colourful.

Pretty Backdrop for photos

This made a beautiful corner for fun photos in our backyard. We are enjoying the fun neon sign too.

This could also be done for other occasions, like baby showers, bridal events, etc.

The only thing I would change is to make it much higher, but like I said in the beginning, I was trying to repurpose this wood wall that I built here ago, so, it's not that tall.
