My Lighted Fall Tree

This is an easy and quick to make project with stunning results!

I purchased a 54 inch tall tomato cage, a resin pot, ( from Lowe's) 3 full 6 foot garlands that have leaves and berries on them ( on sale at Michael's) . I used cable ties to fasten things and a set of LED battery string lights that are 16.4 feet long with 66 mini lights ( Amazon.com). These lights have 8 different functions ( twinkle, phasing, etc.) , a timer and a remote.

Using a hack saw I removed about 18 inches from the tomato cage , making my tree about 36 inches tall overall height with pot is about 48 inches. ( I used what I cut off in the garden to support flowers that kept flopping over).

I drilled two holes in the pot and used cable ties to secure the tomato cage to the pot.
The garland had a loop at the end so I used it to secure the first garland to the top. You simply wind the garlands around the tomato cage securing where needed. The garland tends to slide down if not secured. Add your lights and enjoy!

I already have everything needed to make a tree for Christmas using pine garland and decorating it.

A fun project that will bring many compliments!
