1. Wrap the Cardboard with Marble

Start by taking a single sheet of cardboard and wrapping it in the marble paper.

Wrap it just like you would wrap a present.

Take a large rectangular box and cover it with marble paper to create your mante.

2. Wrap the Cardboard with Brick

Now, grab two rectangular cardboard boxes and wrap them in the brick paper.

Make sure they are the same size for a uniform look.

Next, take a square piece of cardboard and wrap it in the brick paper.

These pieces will form the base, sides, back, and mantel of your fireplace.

3. Assemble Your DIY Cardboard Fireplace

With all the wrapped pieces ready, assemble them to create the structure of your cardboard fireplace.

It's like putting together a simple puzzle – base, sides, back, and mantel – and voila, your cardboard box fireplace is finished!


Now, we just have to decorate it!

4. Craft the Firewood Logs

What’s a fireplace without some rustic wood logs?


Use the craft paper with a wood grain texture, roll it into a circle, and tape the ends together.

To make these logs more convincing, we need to cover the sides.


Cut out 2 cardboard circles.

Glue a piece of wood paper on top of each.

Glue the round to the tube

Glue these wood rounds to the top and bottom of the paper tubes.


Repeat this process until you have three logs.

5. Add the Logs and Lights

Place your crafted logs inside the fireplace. If they're a bit lightweight, use some Scotch tape to keep them in place.

Arrange some fairy lights or battery-operated lights inside the fireplace around the logs.


Set them to pulsate to mimic the look of real flames.

6. Final Decorations

To complete the festive look, add a few holiday decorations on top of your cardboard fireplace mantel.
