Quick & Easy Christmas Craft

3 Materials

Hello, I'm Cindy from Cloches & Lavender where l share painting furniture, DIY's, Crafts and the occasional recipe. We are all getting ready for the fun of Christmas. We are busy decorating, being with family baking and crafting. This is a fun craft to let the kids help with because it doesn't gave to be perfect.

I hope to inspire my readers to be creative, enjoy painting furniture with different techniques.

I enjoy upcycling pieces and giving them new life too.

Next, you need Mod Podge, a sponge brush, paper plate or bowl and mason jars. I already had these in the house and they were the perfect size to work with other pieces on my kitchen table.

Brush Mod Podge on your first jar and while wet sprinkle Epson salt on top. I did a random sprinkle to get the affect I wanted.

What’s that you may ask? Snowy icy texture.

The kids will enjoy this part. It will be fun to see how the glass changes.

Yes, I did this in the early morning in my jammies. I recommend doing this over the sink so the salt falls in the sink to avoid a mess. Don't judge, ha, ha.

Adding battery, operated flickering votives is perfect for safety. Especially during the buy time of year.

The votive jar edges can be wrapped with ribbon, twine, jute or even garland.

I hope you enjoy this very quick project with your family!
