So I Had an Empty Cracker Can.....

by Ana Bacallao
We buy these crackers all the time and I always feel bad throwing them out and was already using some for storage and then an idea struck.
Here's the empty can.
I had a small piece of Christmas fabric leftover from another project. I cut a large enough piece to go around the can and I modged podged, tucking it in at the top and bottom. I cut a circle with lid and modgedpodged to the bottom. I used a piece of ribbon glued inside the top to finish off.

I then found Christmas greenery and ribbon to decorate it.
You can see the plain ribbon around the top
Pretty cute, I think!

Note: I did try to cover the lid with the fabric but it would not fit properly, next time I will cut the fabric to just fit on the outside of the lid and then finish with ribbon or twine glued around.
With wooden spoons, etc.
Will bring a little Christmas cheer to my kitchen counter but think of the possibilities..... You could fill them with baking goodies, cookies, kitchen utensils, etc. as a cute Christmas gift.
