I love finding things at the dollar store, knowing I'm going to use them in a form slightly (or a lot) different than what you see in the store. I liked the look of the big snowflakes they had, but, wasn't sure how I was going to use them until I bought one and took it home. It is basically just a large white snowflake cut from felt with some glitter on it. But, then it became something else.
Buttercup
This is Buttercup. She hangs on the basement door in my kitchen because she makes me smile!

Simply remove your picture from the wall, place the big snowflake on the hanger, and rehang the picture.

Here is another picture with the snowflake behind it.
A wall plaque
A saying hanging over a snowflake.
So that's it! I told you it was simple! Find a shape you like, or a color and simply hang it on the wall behind your pictures etc. Easy peasy as my granddaughter likes to say.

  • A snowflake   (dollar store)
  • Pictures   (already had)

Thanks Wendy. I hesitated to post such a simple idea, but, then it occurred to me that if I hadn't thought of it before that someone else might not have either!
