Milk Carton Turned Into a Planter!

Like I mentioned in another post, here at Hometalk we are trying to decorate with more plants around the office. We had another empty milk carton so we decided to make a cute planter out of it!

This is the size milk carton that works best for this type of project.

Measure with a sharpie as to where the pot on the flower comes to on the milk carton, then go up about an inch on the carton.

Use a box cutter and cut all the way around the carton

This is the part of the carton that will be used for the planter. Make sure to rinse it out so there is no milk residue!

Using a piece of burlap, wrap it around the carton and measure how much you need to make sure that it cover the entirety of the carton.

Hot glue the burlap all the way around the carton, leaving the bottom uncovered.

Snip the corners of the top the burlap to be able to fold it and glue those pieces into the inside of the carton.

We found some cute glue-on flowers in our craft cabinet and decided to use them as decoration!

We hot glued ours in a pattern on all sides of the planter!

Stick your plant in the carton and there you have it!! An adorable homemade planter!
