DIY Fringe Wall Hanging

I love the fringe basket wall art from Anthropologie, and knew I could make my own. I had this green charger I found at the dollar store and it was perfect for this project. You can find chargers pretty much anywhere in the kitchen section and they come in a variety of colors.

This is the green charger I used. I pulled out some craft paint and decided I needed more color.

Using regular craft paint, I started in the center and worked my way out.

I had no idea where I was going with this, but picked out some colors I loved and went with it.

I was happy with how this turned out. The Anthropologie version doesn't have all these colors so I like mine better. It kind of reminds me of the African baskets and I love those because of how colorful and vibrant they are. Let the paint dry completely... mine took about an hour and a half to dry.

Now it's time to pick out your yarn. I used a chunky yarn and cut a bunch of equal length pieces. I then tied a knot in the center of each one.

Use a hot glue gun to glue the knot to the ridge of the wall hanging.

Continue all the way around until it's nice and full. I also pulled apart the ends of the yarn to give it a nice, full look.

I love how fun and colorful this piece is and think it looks perfect in my kitchen.
