Patterned Sofa Table

Hey there Hometalk Friends! Today I'm sharing the makeover of a sofa table as part of my March Madness, 31 Thrifty Makeovers in 31 Days Series. I found this at a yard sale in my neighborhood last Spring for $10:
And gave it a whole new look:
My original plan was to stain the top and paint the base, but when I sanded the top, I discovered it was not real wood...bummer.
The top had a pattern in it though, so I decided to use that as a guide to tape off a fun pattern.
I used Frogtape to tape the outer edges.
Then smaller Frogtape for the pattern...
For the base I used Annie Sloan French Linen chalk paint, 3 parts mixed with one part white to lighten it a bit. Then Pure white for the stripes.
I love it against the white slipcovers.
Hope you enjoyed this makeover! Visit my blog, Confessions of a Serial Do-it-Yourselfer, at the link below to see all my March Madness thrifty makeovers so far! :)
